Walgreens Packing Tape on Sale thru Sat. BOGO

This week thru Feb 27 2016. Walgreens has their brand of packing tape. BOGO.
This package in the store I regularly shop in is 11.99. That's about $3 a roll, which is cheap. Believe I've been hunting for a cheap by the case price, what makes this even sweeter ~ this week they are BOGO so that brings your roll price down to 1.50 a roll. NOW THAT'S just plain cheap. I've been using this tape to pack and ship for over a year without any problems.  But you only have two days left.

Upcycling watches - From trash to treasure

I've been saving these watches for awhile because I so loved the bands. But I don't necessarily want to keep putting batteries in them to keep them running. With my phone always on me I don't really need a watch.
One day I was prying the back off to see if I could replace the battery - it hit me. Why can't I just take the guts out and replace it with charms.
BAM the bird of my floating locket bracelet via up-cycled watch.
I've checked all my usual haunts to see if these are listed for sale, but so far I haven't found them anywhere.
For now these will be limited to whatever my heart leads me to fill them with. Maybe at some point I might do some custom work.
But for now, this is what I have.

Ebay - Priority Mail Shipping - Just so you know. Insurance is free up to $100

OK. Maybe I'm really dense. But I didn't know until I accidentally click on it , that you can buy Insurance thru the Post office for your packages instead of The SHIPCOVER insurance which is the first option on the drop down box.
I don't know maybe I wasn't paying attention because I very rarely have anything of significant value to insure. But I was appalled  that since Ebay partners with USPS , that they would offer the Postal service insurance first.
No, they don't, you have to use the drop down box to get to the USPS insurance and if you are shipping priority and it's under 50.00, it's FREE when you get UPSP insurance otherwise you pay for that Shipcover stuff.
Consider it a lesson learned.
Hope somebody else benefits from this.
@ just a disclaimer, I've never had to use the SHIPCOVER stuff but I have used the USPS insurance twice and both claims resulted in a check for the cost of the item.

Proactiv Plus - Another Buyer Beware - Read the fine print

I managed to get hold of a shipment of Proactiv products. They have been listed on ebay for sale.

But their marketing is another one of those misleading ones ,that unless you read carefully, you will be stuck.

From their website after you place the products in your cart here's the language you get"

Proactiv+ 3-Step System, 30-day Supply. WHEN YOU ORDER PROACTIV+ TODAY, YOU’LL ALSO RECEIVE YOUR FREE GIFTS AND FREE SHIPPING! For today’s 30-day 3-Step System, you will be charged 1 payment of $29.95 with FREE shipping and handling for this shipment.
Approximately 4 weeks after your first order is shipped, and then approximately every 12 weeks thereafter, you will be sent a new 90 day supply of Proactiv+®. Each shipment will be charged to the card you provide today, in three installments, approximately every 4 weeks at the guaranteed low price of $29.95 plus $2.99 for shipping and handling per installment, unless you call to cancel. There is no commitment and no minimum to buy. Please note exact shipment times may vary. To customize future shipments and charges, call customer service anytime at 1-800-235-6050.

Every Proactiv® order includes a 60-day money-back guarantee of the purchase price less shipping and handling.

Did you get all that. Unfortunately most people don't bother to read this description when they sign up for these kind of things. AGAIN I stress - READ THE DETAILS EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU GIVE YOU CREDIT CARD INFO OUT.

Here's the jest. You pay 29.99 now and then in a month they will send you a 90 day supply for which your getting dinged $33 for the next three months.

UNLESS you CALL and cancel.

Now I don't know about you but have you ever tried to cancel anything by phone. Try it sometime and see how far you get. I tried once with the cable company and the results were not pretty - Needless to say I no longer sign up for anything that I cannot cancel on the web WITHOUT speaking to anyone.

I don't understand the need for "reputable companies" to use this type of tactic to gain sales. I'm a grown ass women and I can remember to order more product if I need it.

And yes I am selling a couple of products that are expired. But since there is no law against it and people are willing to buy..... it's clearly listed in the listing. I don't buy it anywhere , it tells you this from the start in the title.

Juice Plus - Another Example of when to read the fine print.

This is what Juice Plus says it is:
Juice Plus+ is whole food based nutrition, including juice powder concentrates from 30 different fruits, vegetables and grains. Juice Plus+ helps bridge the gap between what you should eat and what you do eat every day. Not a multivitamin, medicine, treatment or cure for any disease, Juice Plus+ is made from quality ingredients carefully monitored from farm to capsule to provide natural nutrients your body needs to be at its best.

I have these listed on ebay here. This particular listing of mine has  4 bottles - 2 of the Orchard and 2 of the Garden Blends. EACH bottle has 120 capsules.

Here's where you need to pay attention and fully understand what you are reading on the internet before you buy.

You can buy these on their website for 44.50 a month. They send you 4 bottles at a time and charge you 44.50 a month for 4 months = $158.00 plus shipping. Then automatically send you another 4 bottles after you finished the 4th installment.

IF you don't read that website correctly you would think you are getting the BOX of FOUR for $44.50 because at a quick glance and quick read that's what your mind tells you. It's only after you STOP and actually read what your buying do you realize that $44.50 PER MONTH FOR 4 MONTHS.

MORAL of this posting - READ every detail before handing your credit card numbers over to ANYONE. If you don't understand email and ask for clarification. SAVE the emails. Because if what they tell you in an email is different then what happens, you have a paper trail.  These kinds of companies are a pet peeve of mine. I think if they stand behind their product, why resort to this type of marketing.

Please go to the website and decide for yourself, then feel free to come back here and leave your comments. I know at times I'm a little slow on the uptake so I'd like to hear what others think. And keep in mind while your reading, while you may get it the first time you read it, how many out there like me, who at first glance thought it was $44.50 for the first BOX. And get all excited and go and order, only to find out on the 2nd month that they are getting dinged for another $44.50 a month.

But I only have the four bottles and will you only pay me once for whatever the final bid is. I am not affiliated with this website in any way and as such there are no guarantees about the effectiveness of the product. If you want a guarantee go to the website and put yourself thru that nightmare of auto shipments and payments.

I buy this stuff when I see it , so that others may try it and then decide hassle free if they want to pursue the product further.

All bottle are sealed and expire 7/2017.

Yes I want you to buy my bottles. BUT at the same time I want you to stop and start paying attention to the fine print before handing your credit card over to everyone.

Bradford Exchange Nightmare Before Christmas TableTop Tree Ornaments

Breaks my heart to sell this but I don't have the whole series so, I've put it up for auction on Ebay.
These are mint in box and has the COA to match the set. Each piece is number.
This was part of the NBC Table Top Tree subscription series. Each installment was $59.99. Not sure how many installments there were but this is one of the later ones I think.

If this box had, had Jack I would have kept the series. But these are too small for my 4 foot nightmare tree I do at Christmas Time.
This is my WIP - My 4ft Jack Tree - Hubby only lets me put it up at Christmas Time. When we get a house, it will be up year round. Still looking for a snake to wrap around it. Maybe I can find at the fair.

Vintage AVON Cape Cod Ruby Red Wine Glasses Set of 4

The boxes are a bit beat up. But these Vintage Avon Cape Cod Wine Glasses are so beautiful with the red glass. No chips or cracks on these glasses at all.
These are not painted red, no these were red glass.

My price is $14.99 for the set plus shipping of $13 and that is via Priority flat rate mail box. Sorry I don't ship any but the USA - ( I hate standing in line at the post office). I usually ship out the next day. But can take up to 3 days if I get called into work alot.
Hit the paypal button below to take you to the paypal website and pay for your items. They will send me a text saying I got paid and I'll ship out as soon as possible. If you are leery of ordering, click the ebay button, check out my feedback. Plus paypal has buyer protection programs in place to protect the buyer online. This will eventually make it's way on ebay, but the price will be higher because of ebay fees.

IT Works! Review of program - Not the Product.

Here's an update to the original post. I was selling these products, so people could try them without all the hassles. Today I got an email from the Compliance Department telling me that I needed to take my listings down because "It works" does not allow one to sell it's products online. I say that's total BullS#$%^. Why do you feel the need to use this approach to see your products. I don't know maybe because if you google the words "It Works" and "complaints" you come up with a whole lot of angry people.
What gets me is there are over 7000 products from It Works on ebay alone. check out Amazon and there is a whole lot there. I've taken my listings down. It's not worth the trouble. what these people don't realize is that once someone trys their product and it works for them, then maybe they will seek out a distributor to buy more. that was my intention. Considering the amount of complaints against the company. Check the BBB in Palmetto Fl , where this company is located.

So I don't know if you've heard of the latest among the weight loss craze. It's nothing new. It been around for a few years. I saw all these people flying in and out of Tampa when I worked at the airport. We could always tell when there was a convention or meeting because of the sheer number of "Complimentary cards" that were left behind for us. The nauseating green color everywhere - don't get me wrong I love green but not on everything.

It Works is another one of those companies that bug me because of their pricing structure. Of course to be honest I'm annoyed with almost anyone, who uses an automated shipment system and bills accordingly. I feel like if I want more, I'll order it. I'm a grown ass women who can remember (most of the time) to order product if I need it. I don't need or want you to order it for me. I have issues giving anyone the authorization to use my card without my express consent at the time it is used. That's why I don't pay bills automatically.

So in order to get the better price you have to be a loyalty member. Here's how to become a loyalty member.

Here's those terms.

Where a customer has elected to become an It Works Marketing, Inc. (hereafter "It Works!" or "the Company") Loyal Customer, they agree to the following terms and conditions:.

I. GENERAL TERMS

1. The It Works! Loyal Customer Program allows a customer to enjoy Loyal Customer pricing on all orders.

Auto-shipment orders may be changed online by using the Customer ID and password or by calling Customer Service (see below) at least two (2) business days prior to the customer’s next shipment.

Loyal Customer Program and will receive Loyal Customer pricing on all future orders. 8. Loyal Customers who cancel their membership before the three-month minimum commitment has been fulfilled will be charged a $50 Membership Fee and this customer is still considered a member of the It Works! Completion of this three (3) month period waives the $50 Membership Fee.
9. If a Loyal Customer wishes to upgrade to a Distributor and has completed the Loyal Customer Agreement or the Loyal Customer has paid the $50 Membership fee, then the Loyal Customer is free to enroll as a Distributor under whomever he or she chooses. If a Loyal Customer wishes to upgrade to a Distributor and has NOT completed the Loyal Customer Agreement and they want the Membership fee to be waived, the Loyal Customer must enroll under the same Distributor their Loyal Customer account is under.

All auto-shipment cancellation requests must be completed at least two (2) business days prior to the auto-shipment process date.
7. If only a portion of a stocked package (several products grouped under one item name/number) is returned, the full value and BonusVolume (BV) of the item(s) kept will be deducted from the refund on the return order.
8. Once your order is received and inspected at our return processing center (usually within 10 business days), your refund will be processed to the credit card used to purchase your order.  Depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional 2-10 business days after your refund is applied for monies to post to your account.
9. All returns must be accompanied with the original or a copy of the original packing slip.
10. To exchange products, please call Customer Service or submit a support ticket in eSuite to specify which product you would like to return and which products you would like to purchase in exchange. Please place your exchange order prior to returning your original items for refund to avoid interruption of your auto-shipment services.

May 2015
OH Wait , I'm not suppose to post that am I. Am I.
All this just to buy beauty products. This is longer than the last purchase agreement  I had for my car.
The jist is this, You pay a membership fee of $50 or you enroll in 3 months of auto shipments and these products must be from their BV line of products. Which I just found is any product except for the $7 fab wrap.
Before you even consider joining these people make sure you read the whole website and look at all the fine print.
With ebay the way it is now days, you can find any of these products to try at a reasonable price and then go onto the IT Works website and order if you want this stuff in volume. I find this stuff in the thrift stores I haunt to do, just that.
See my listings below of this products but please heed my warnings when ordering stuff like this UNDERSTAND all the fine print before you order.

I don't get paid to review any of these products. Nor would I try any of these products. That's up to you to try ans see if they work for you. I can't make any guarantees about the effectiveness of these products, that's for you to decide.
If you don't believe me - google  it works +complaints and see what you come up with.

I'll say it again. LET THE BUYER BEWARE.

My personal feelings are that if you think your company is so great and your products are extraordinary, then why not put it out there for the masses instead of an elite few who can afford it. Seriously. I free sample without any strings attached. What's it gonna hurt. Could bring you in alot of customers instead of the pages rants and rages by pissed off consumers. Just my 2 cents folks.

CAVEAT EMPTOR - Subscription Plans are popping up everywhere. READ THE FINE PRINT PEOPLE

I've come across a bunch of different products that end up in the thrift stores, I haunt, that come from subscription plans. I then list them on ebay so that someone who wants to try the product, can, without risking their whole financial well being. I've shared some of those listing below but the main point of this post is to educate the consumer.

Here's the problem with these plans. They entice you into buying the product with a "low intro rate or trial period" this is done on the front page and in big bold print. But they bury the terms in a link.

OK if you are so sure of your product why not list the terms on the front page and let everyone see them when they see the ad.
But they don't do this because they are banking on people NOT reading the fine print and then not looking at their bank statements to see that these products are being charged to their account. Just pick one of these companies and google it with the words complaint and you will see tons of sites that show these people pissed off because they have spent huge amounts, simply because they didn't read the fine print.

I fault both sides - The consumer should always read the fine print on EVERYTHING they sign up for.
I know from experience because I once signed up for a freebie site (it was recommended by a relative) and while I was filling it out I missed the box that said "I agree to let my name be given to interested companies". that was a nightmare within a day the house phone was ringing constantly. I told each and everyone of them to never call me again.

Had each of those pissed off consumer read the fine print and followed the instructions (which is whole other can of worms) they wouldn't be out the money.

I also fault the company for using such advertising. Yes it's gives you all the fine print but they make you hunt for the fine print.

The best advice is to read every single link about the offer. Print it out. Follow their instructions if you don't want the product. OR just go to ebay and buy it there first. BUT make sure you check dates of expiration.

Here's the products I've found so far.
Mineral Simplicity

This is Mineral Simplicity
AD says TRY IT FOR A $1.
HERES  -What they tell you when you follow the link :
Terms of Offer Summary: By ordering today you will receive a 60-day supply of Mineral Simplicity™ Introductory Mineral Makeup Kit for a 15-day Trial for just $1.00, plus a shipping and handling fee of up to $9.32 (Trial and s&h fees are non-refundable). In addition, you will also be enrolled in the Mineral Simplicity™ Beauty Club. If you do not cancel your Club membership within 15 days from the date of shipment and return the unused portion of your 60-day supply (Makeup and Accessories) in accordance with the Returns and Refunds Policy you will be charged $127.32 for the Introductory Mineral Makeup Kit, and continue to be charged every month at the Club price of $28.32 plus s&h (on the month the product ships) to the same credit or debit card used at sign-up for each 60-day supply shipped about every 60 days until you cancel. Your shipment should arrive within the next 3 to 5 business days. Click here to read the full Terms of Offer.

So if you are ok with being charged 127.32 for this kit listed above. Then by all means go for it.

OR you can buy mine and then decide if you want to continue to use their product. Mines' listed at 29.99 plus shipping which I think is a fair price for mineral makeup.

Mineral Elements by Eden

This company is set up just like the above company. Only I can't find any evidence of them being online. The card that came with the kit only shows a phone number to call. But from the reports I've seen this company operates the same way as the above.
So your choice 29.99 or 128.00

Make sure you check all my auctions because as I find these types of products I will make them available on ebay.

There are a ton of these type of plans out there and everyone is jumping on the band wagon. I even seen Target now using a subscription program pricing. PLEASE PLEASE make sure you read the fine print.

And if you don't take anything else away from this post , please take this. READ EVERY FINE PRINT DETAIL WHEN SIGNING UP FOR ANYTHING.
